Inspired by the pioneering spirit of the Conestoga wagon wheel, Healing Wheels presents a visionary framework for the integration of ministries, churches, and Christian professionals into a cohesive network dedicated to advancing community health and human services. This metaphor embodies our mission to pioneer a unified approach, ensuring a broad spectrum of services rooted in Christ’s love and the transformative power of His kingdom.
The Hub: At the heart of the Healing Wheels model is the hub, symbolizing an Apostolic/Prophetic foundation. This core is infused with worship and intercession, forming the spiritual bedrock that invites God’s manifest presence into our network and community endeavors. The hub team is responsible for discerning God’s direction, fostering strategic partnerships, and initiating services across medical, mental health, addiction treatment, social services, and healing prayers. This pivotal role ensures that our mission aligns with divine guidance, embodying the ministry of Jesus in every facet of our work.
The Spokes: Extending from the hub, the spokes represent the diverse services and initiatives that reach into the community. These include specialized groups focused on medical care, mental wellness, addiction recovery, social support, and spiritual healing. While each spoke operates with its own administrative structure, they remain interconnected through the hub, ensuring a cohesive strategy and unified mission. This structure allows for flexibility and autonomy within the framework of our shared goals.
Our model draws inspiration from Ezekiel’s vision of wheels, symbolizing movement, unity, and divine direction. This biblical reference underscores our commitment to moving as one body, guided by the Spirit, to spread the gospel of the Kingdom through our services. The stories of Ezra and Nehemiah further illustrate the integration of spiritual revival and community restoration, serving as Old Testament models for our mission.
Vision Sharing and Activation: Initiatives such as conferences are vital for sharing our vision and mobilizing churches and ministries towards collective action.
Hub Team Formation: A dedicated team, rooted in apostolic and prophetic functions, is essential for guiding the network. This team should initially emerge from an apostolic church but evolve to include members from diverse backgrounds, all committed to our shared mission.
Worship and Intercession: Integral to our hub, these practices ensure our efforts are continually aligned with God’s will and direction. Service Model Development: Innovating new models for healing rooms and transformational ministry is key to serving the wider network effectively.
Training and Equipping: Expanding the network’s capacity through professional and spiritual development ensures our community can address a wide range of needs.
Partnership and Network Expansion: By discerning and engaging with existing partnerships, we can extend the reach of our services, adapting and expanding our ministry as needed.
Professional and Ministry Integration: Encouraging existing professionals and ministries to adopt a kingdom-centric approach to service amplifies our impact.
Autonomy and Collaboration: While each local wheel operates independently, the ability to collaborate across geographic locations enriches our network, drawing from the vision of Ezekiel’s wheels within wheels.
Healing Wheels is more than a metaphor; it is a call to action for all who are committed to transforming health and human services through the love and power of Christ. By embodying this model, we aim to create a network that not only meets physical, mental, and spiritual needs but also fosters a sense of community and belonging among all involved. Together, we can pioneer a new frontier in community health and transformation, guided by the foundational principles of Jesus’ ministry.
